Dr. Thomas Rottet, chiropractor, has announced he will begin seeing patients at Blue Mountain Family Chiropractic, Route 61, Orwigsburg. He will be a sole proprietor sharing office space with Orwigsburg chiropractor Dr. Buddy Touchinsky.
“I took some time off to address family issues and work on my teaching degree, but I really miss working with my patients,” Rottet explained. He also said that many of his patients called him eager to see when they could get an appointment. “As of the beginning of July, I will have regular office hours again.”
When Touchinsky was asked about the arrangement, he said, “It made a lot of sense for both of us. He wanted to go out on his own but didn’t want the expense of a full time office and staff. I have extra space in my office for an additional doctor and have the staff to handle scheduling and billing. So it was really a no brainer.” Touchinsky also remarked that he and Rottet are very similar practitioners. “We both believe that the patient comes first. We spend extra time with people and make sure we effectively address their problems. That tends to be a lost art in the days of managed care and declining reimbursement.”
Current patients of Dr. Rottet and anyone wishing to schedule as a new patient with Dr. Rottet are advised to call Blue Mountain Family Chiropractic at 570-366-2613, Monday through Friday, 9am to 4pm.
